Evren

I've been sketching her sooooo much lately... Might as well introduce her in preparation for when I finally get access to a scanner again.

Evren now has her own ask/RP account: a-time-spirit


This is Evren! She is... an extradimensional time spirit, of sorts. Her true form usually isn't compatible with most timestreams across the multiverse, so she has to adopt a weaker form. Above is one of her preferred appearances when she chooses to interact with a timeline. 


She totally abuses her time-travel powers. No joke. However, there are some rules that her powers must follow. Number one being, she cannot exist in a timeline with herself. Meaning, if she tries to go to the past to say hi to her past self, it won't work. It'll simply create an alternate timeline. From the perspective of anyone who is in that alternate timeline, the past Evren abruptly vanishes and the future Evren appears... wherever it is she decided to reappear. In the original timeline, past Evren continues doing whatever it was she was doing. 

Evren isn't exactly a good fighter. She'd much rather use her time powers to teleport away from the attacker. Or better yet, avoid the confrontaion altogether by jumping to another timeline/dimension/universe/etc. If push comes to shove though, she can use light- and shadow-based magic attacks.

It's difficult to really hurt her through physical means- she's not an organic being, after all. Because of Evren's abilities to teleport and time travel, as well as the aformentioned resistance to physical attacks, she usually has the somewhat arrogant mindset that nothing can hurt her... so it's very easy to catch her off guard. If she is severely injured, though, she splits into two small ghost-imp-like beings that represents two opposite halves of her. When split apart, they cannot time travel until they are reunited. Personality-wise, Evren tends to be pardon the pun free-spirited, and will often doing things on even the faintest of whims. She takes delight in just about anything that is new or different to her. Although if you added up all the time she's spent in different timelines, it'd add up to over a few billion years... so she's seen a lot. (Though at least a third of that time was probably spent just wandering around in space. Space is pretty big, regardless of the universe it's in.)

Evren has a habit of interfering with the lives of mortals- she thinks they're funny and interesting. "Interfering" varies, though- it could be anywhere from chatting with them, to making friends with them, to completely screwing up their life. She doesn't always reveal the extend of her abilities to mortals. Because of the nature of her powers, her actions pretty much have no consequences- after all, in an alternate timeline, her interference never happened. At least, that's her perspective. Evren has no sense of moral consequence. Help someone win the lottery? Sure, why not. Accidentally cause the death of an entire family? Oops, oh well. She doesn't always understand mortal's thoughts and feelings, and their mannerisms and emotions can sometimes leave her confused. It is difficult to anger or offend her... a surefire way to get on her bad side, though, is to restrict her freedom/powers (usually by sealing them via magical means). Even worse would be restricting her powers after betraying her. She is not above revenge- let's just say that once she took the saying "A coward dies a thousand deaths" very literally... 


Some other notes and facts:
- While in a timeline, Evren can alter her appearance. Usually she either uses the appearance as seen in the picture above, or mimics the dominate species of the planet she's visiting.  
- Since she isn't an organic being, she doesn't bleed. She also doesn't breath or eat. (She also doesn't have a sense of taste. Or smell. Don't ask her to cook for you.)
- Additionally, if she mimics a particular species that has a special ability of some kind, she does not gain that special ability. 
- She doesn't fully understand the nature of her existance. It's still something she's trying to find out more about. 
- Evren's true form has three wings. Hence the feathers incorporated in her design.
- Technically, she's genderless. Feel free to use any pronoun, she doesn't mind. 
- Evren doesn't seem to see her interference in the timelines as a problem. After all, in an alternate timeline, her interference never happened!
- That being said, she is neither good nor evil. From screwing with various timelines, she has accomplished actions that could be considered good or bad. 
- She's constantly seeking things that are interesting or entertaining, whether it be people, environments, different universes... or events where it's like "if I did this, what would happen? Or if this happened instead, what would be different?"
- She thinks it's the funniest thing ever when mortals make time puns. SO MANY TIME PUNS.
- If you REALLY want to catch her attention, a paradox would definitely work. 



TL;DR- Evren is a dimension-hopping time-traveling spirit with no sense of moral consequence. If you ask about her time powers then prepare for a headache.


Also she's available for RPing on the ask/RP account I made for her: a-time-spirit. Doesn't matter whether you have an OC or a fan character, or whether or not the RP is canon for your character. Because she jumps between alternate timelines across the multiverse, remember? In any case, due to her nature she can be anything from a conversation partner to an antagonist, or something in between, so it's up to you. (It's not like her powers have to be brought up in a RP- she'd just seem like a random quirky girl, haha.) It could be a good chance to develop new characters without worrying about canon.
