 Personality:
He's a prideful little fire bug. 

Joking aside, Max does tend to take things a bit too seriously sometimes... other pokemon have said that he needs to lighten up and have some fun every once in a while. Though he tries to act cool and calm, he's actually quite easy to fluster. Even so, he doesn't like disrespect of any kind (regardless of if it's directed at him or someone else), and won't back down from a direct challenge.

In fact, he seems fascinated with the idea of being a knight. Not literally (though the idea came to him around the time he got that Shelmet Helmet many years ago) but rather, the moral code that knights supposedly uphold... you know, being diligent and righteous and defending the weak and all that. So even if he can be a bit self-righteous sometimes, he really does try to be helpful to other pokemon. Max doesn't go around bragging about himself (he's not THAT arrogant), but compliments and flattery will definitely lift his mood.


 Description:
Hatched in a village on another continent, Maxwell left for... personal... reasons. Since then, he's done a lot of traveling. Along the way he's had adventures, and even made a friend or two. But that's all behind him now. Though he had known of the existence of various Guilds through his years of traveling, only now has he decided to actually join one. His reasons for joining is partially for a fresh start and to help other pokemon, while the other part- though he won't mention it to anyone else- is because he needs the money.


Other notes:
- He rarely takes off his Shelmet Helmet, unless it's to sleep.
- Maxwell currently lives in a tree at the northern edge of Amity Village. Good luck spotting him, though, because his little silk nest is well camouflaged with leaves. 
- If someone calls his Shelmet Helmet a hat, he's quick to correct them in a matter-of-fact way: "It's not a hat, it's a helmet."
- He is deeply loyal to close friends... however, it takes a long time and a lot of trust for him to consider someone as "close". 
- He tries to avoid deep water whenever he can, as it makes him verrrrrry nervous. Hey, he IS a fire type, after all. Also he can't swim. So there's that too. (And as you can imagine, Max wasn't too happy to find out that the Guild was in the middle of a lake...  )
- He absolutely hates getting muddy. 
- If he gets embarrassed or is teased about something, then he might try to awkwardly laugh it off... But he's definitely going to be sulking about it later when he's alone. 
- String Shot is very useful as a rope, especially when climbing mountains... or tripping up would-be attackers.
- Max's Flame Body ability usually doesn't activate unless he's recently used a fire attack. So if you hug him, you won't get burned- but he certainly won't be happy about any surprise hugs. 
- Yes, his hair is soft. It's nowhere near Cinccino-level soft, though.
